[SML] OT - help from fellow wood butchers

Redoing kitchen and using butcher block counters - any preferences or
recommendations for dog bone connectors?  Knape & Vogt vs Hafele vs
other?  Butt joints, no mitres.  Maple.

And maximum spacing tips?  I'm joining two parallel with grain - 6' -
and planning 4 plus biscuits; using two connectors on butt joints -
end grain to parallel.
