Exactly.  The ceiling has 2x4 acoustic tiles above the grid, but not
much in the way of insulation above that. So heat leaks out all
day/night... but turn on 3 dozen fresnels,  a dozen or so pars and a
few ellipsoidals, throw in a handful of actors and 100 audience
members, and it heats up REAL fast.  It's downright miserable in there
in the fall and spring.  And in the winter, the ushers will open the
doors to the 25 degree outside air during intermission to try to cool
the place down.
