No. At least, not unless they are atrociously badly designed.
Iron-cored transformers are proof against most things.

Electronic 'transformers' are a horse of a different colour.  They are
smaller, lighter, and far more touchy about what they are connected
to.

Takimg it as a rule that 'if it's heavy, it's versatile' is generally
sound. Lightweight alleged 'transformers' need close study of their
properties.
