Is it an internship (where your work is not necessary to the show, but 
the position is as Jeffrey says for learning and networking) or a job 
where you should be paid at least minimum wage? There are far too many 
theatre companies treating workers as if they were interns and breaking 
the law in doing so.

Still more than some IA contracts and Equity contracts. That was a real 
eye opener.
