Instead of bringing my school's lift to the church I attend to change
inside lights and streetlights in the parking lot, the church trustees
have said that I can search for a replacement.  Admitting that I'm spoiled
with the Genie lift at my school (electric power), the only one I've found
recently is a battery-powered lift on Craigslist.  The Genie AWP-25S,
according to the owner, needs a separate charger for the battery.  This is
different from a battery-powered lift I used several years back that had a
charger for the battery included with the lift.  The drawback was that the
electric power had to be plugged into the lift to keep it functional due
to the condition of the battery.

While I realize the battery can be helpful outside with the streetlights
when cable runs are so long that the voltage drops and I have to bring a
generator, the vast majority of the work necessary to accomplish will be
inside.  Have any rigged an inverter up to replace the battery?  If so,
can you provide some details on the conversion?  Are there other
suggestions for adapting this lift for use in the church?
