Me neither, so I did a bit of looking around and found this page:

That page says the wire will have a resistance of about 2 ohms per foot at the recommended 600F, and will need 5.1A to get there. So 
that is 16 ohms for 8 feet, and 81.6V to drive it - rather higher than I had expected, and a pretty close match for the 600W dimmer.
