Returning to the Calendar of Recurring Threads, today I picked up a new
pair of safety shoes, in preparation for leaving on the Upcoming Next Big
Adventure...
Red Wing Shoes, model #6338 "athletic" shoes; nylon shanks and aluminum toe
caps, non-marking non-slip EVA-stealth rubber soles, electrical protection,
oil/gas/abrasion resistance is rated "Best" on Red Wing's scale...
Wore them a full day today, clambering around the Great Hall focusing
lights everywhere; all over the catwalks and box booms, and these guys
brand-new are every bit as comfy as my extremely-broken-in Doc Martens'
composite-toe safety shoes. Plus the Red Wing store gave me 10% off the
$140 price tag because of my Union affiliation. And they're even available
in my super-fat H-width!
#6338 from Red Wing... They're Rigger-Approved®.
