[SML] Vectorworks 2014 Question

Hi Group,
 
I'm taking some time to get familiar with VW14, and I'm using the Getting Started video tutorials to do it.  Granted, the tutorials are created for VW15, but so far, so good.
 
However, got to video #4, where they have you create a circular ramp using the round wall tool.  They eventually instruct you to use the Object Reshape tool to grab one end of the ramp and lower it down, changing it from a circular platform to a ramp.  However, every time I try to do it, the ramp breaks into two segments, and I end up with two sections with a gap in between, instead of a nice ramp.
 
Anyone know what's going on?  If I'm not being clear, please feel free to ask more questions.
