The flashlight app is handy, and I use it sometimes for things like looking for something in the car, or in the middle of the night in a strange hotel room. 
OTOH, shifting into Olde Pharte Mode, it annoys the crap out of me to see a stagehand using their phone as a flashlight on a call. Carry a real flashlight when you’re at work.
