That's what I would do. Permit applications are usually set up like that.


"You go to one and say that the other one has no objection but wanted to
check with the first before final approval.

You can get formal by typing up a memo for record from you to the facility
folks that sets out what you are doing, and references to the OSHA standard
and a manufacturers statement that thus and such is safe to use.

Then signature blocks with your signature, then a first endorsement by
facility person with approved and disapproved check boxes for them to check
and sign.    Second endorsement block for health and safety with
checkboxes."
