We started using these this summer once we depleted our existing condom stock. Partly for price and partly because my A2 was allergic to latex. And partly to try something new. Seems to work fine so far. These bags are flat so I made a quick mockup with paper to make sure my mic packs would fit in the bags I was planning to order.
There is also a company or two that makes neoprene pouches/mic belts though I don't remember who they are. They get mentioned almost every time this thread comes up over on the Theatre Sound Mailing List so take a look over there as well.
