You’re using proof coil chain so the WLL of the chain is gonna be, what…maybe 10 times the weight of what you’re hanging. Use the chain. Forget the turnbuckle. They’re dumb.
Rigger trick # 487
If the height adjustment is off by something less than the length of a link, give the chain a bit of a twist. Not a full twist, mind you, because then the links tend to climb up on one another. A 1/4 or 1/2 twist will take care of it.
