"The Crucible," perchance? There was a small ruckus here the last time a 
high school theatre produced it, but I think it resulted in a better 
show - the director used it as an example of "witch trial" thinking and 
the students really *got* it. (Also increased ticket sales after an 
article in the local paper and some letters to the editor...)
