[SML] Saw stop

Check the serial number on the saw and the brake. Some of the older units need a different model brake and the newer brakes won't work. I have found the folks at saw stop very helpful

Maybe because SawStop felt that the possibility of a single-point failure in the safety mechanism necessitated having a bit of redundancy?  This way, if the arbor-drop mechanism malfunctions you still don't lose body parts.

Also, there's something about dropping a saw arbor while it's still spinning and producing torque that would probably concern the engineers who designed it in the first place.
