The Shakespeare Theatre Company, performing at the Lansburgh Theatre
and Sidney Harman Hall in Downtown Washington, DC, seeks an
experienced Live Mix Engineer. The Engineer is principally responsible
for FOH mix operations for an 800 seat venue, including both playback
and live mix performances and events. The successful candidate will
have proven experience with live mixing of voice and music for a
variety of musical and performance styles, as well as competency with
digital mixing, wireless microphones, system tuning, control and
effects processing, advanced troubleshooting, and QLab playback
systems. Experience with video and projection is preferred. BA with a
focus on theatre or music production, or equivalent professional
experience, and at least 3 years of live mixing experience required.
Must have a valid driver’s license, excellent hearing, and the ability
to lift 50 lbs.
