[SML] strange document handling

My wife has a couple of old scripts that were originally saved in Word
Perfect format (yep, that old).  I'm able to open and read them with
LibreOffice 4 on a Linux system but when she opens them on a Windows
system using LibreOffice 5, she gets a series of blank pages.

Opened them again on Linux and saved them as LibreOffice documents.  She
still gets blank pages.

Any thoughts?
