[SML] HDMI audio booster

I've been getting video that has VERY quiet audio, to where the player 
and monitor are up full and it's still too quiet.  In the past with RCA 
cables I'd just put a compressor or amplifier in line with the audio.

But now, it's all HDMI, can't access the audio.

So, anyone know of a low cost adjustable booster or better yet a break 
out/in box?
