Interesting.  I often wondered what the standards were for recalls.

If you are a Six Sigma proponent (I was forced to be one while at Motorola), -3.4 defects per million opportunities<https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Defects_per_million_opportunities>- a run of 370,000 should produce only about 1 bad lamp.
