[SML] Laser spikes

Thanks to Scott, Bruce and Bruce for the info. We are setting up a
system very much like what you describe as Chris Fretts' solution. We
are waiting on delivery of a Brightline laser marker from
www.laserglow.com. They are Canadian, though I think they ship to the
US without much hassle. It's a 3v laser with a 120v power supply that
can be switched to activate the laser with a few seconds of warmup
(according to them). There is also a 5v TTL control circuit for
instant switching. We are going to set it up so it can be controlled
from the lighting console. Fingers crossed it all works out easily!
