Dear List, a bit of a plea from Oz here, and not necessarily theatre related
but maybe...
I am looking for replacement Clear Glass Globes for some Paul Uhn brand
industrial light fixtures, the kind that have a plastic shade and a screw on
cage protecting a screw on glass globe with a 200/300w lamp inside. I bought
these as advertised as Titanic Deck Light reproductions but the protective
glass globes are cracked.
I have looked high and low and have even bought a couple off Ebay but the
thread diameter was only 4 1/2".
The ones I need measure 9" long by 4 3/4" across the thread.
The fixture itself is die cast aluminium with a bakelite E27 lampholder
mounted to it and is marked Paul Uhn Hou. TX. P36.
Any help locating a source for these glass globes would be greatfully
received!
Cheers from Sydney Australia! PhilD

It a bit of a long shot, but have you tried salvage yards? One in a blue
moon some warehouse might be updating their lighting & get rid of the whole
fixture.

Thanks Clay, not much I can do about that from here I'm afraid. I'll keep
looking. Cheers

These kinds of lights are also used in the refrigeration industry.? Here is
one source that sells the fixtures for $28 UDS.? I don't know the size of
the threads. Just search for Vapor
Proof.https://www.katom.com/cat/baffle-filters-for-hoods.html
And another source

I just caught that "Vapor Proof" is not what to search for.? It needs to be
one word. "Vaporproof"
