I did some googling and was surprised to not find anything. Interesting.

One option might be to place the receiver much closer to the presenter,
possibly even in the lectern. The cheapest option would be this unpowered
USB-over-Cat5 adapter -

That's unpowered and may not be as reliable as you'd like. Here's a powered
USB extender:

Note that they use Cat5/6 cables but do NOT use ethernet/networking (those
are available too, for considerably more money). But if you already have
Cat5 in place that go through patch bays, you may be able to save yourself
some wire running.

With reliable USB extension in place, you're not limited to just getting a
wireless receiver closer. You could, for example, rig up an X-keys or
Stream Deck (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XKNZT1P/). Just
spitballing there.
