[SML] Titles

At my institution, they use Techical Director and Associate Technical
Director.  The PTB decided that "Assistant" implied a subordinate position,
whereas "Associate" allows some autonomy but still reflects a difference in
pay grade.

Of course, neither of us can be referred to as "Directors" on the org
chart, so there we are listed as "Technical Assistant I and II"
respectively.
