[SML] ETC Gadget II

I just got the educational ETC Nomad package and I’ve been toying around with it (Mac based set up).  The Gadget II seems to only officially work with EOS or Cobalt, not third party software.  Has anyone used it with other software?  QLab is only willing to output ArtNet over ethernet, so the USB connection on the Gadget doesn’t help.  I might be able to trick it by using a thunderbolt bridge, but I’m a little doubtful.

Has anyone experimented with it and found cool/useful/off-label set ups?

(Yeah, I know I could get an ENTTEC.  But for my purposes, using the EOS software and getting familiar with it is worth the price of the education package.  I’m just looking to push the boundaries.)
