Rail? This theatre doesn't have any fly space. Everything over the stage is
dead-hung.

I suppose something could be installed over the audience seating, but then
crew would have to be taught how to counterweight battens properly.

Without having permanent stage crew, I do not consider counterweight systems
to be safe enough to use.
