  I'm finding this more and more.  My linux machines handle the world with 
aplomb while frequently the Windows laptop [which I occasionally HAVE TO 
use for CAD or iTunes] imitates a small, frightened, whimpering puppy that 
needs tending.

  That is when it isn't chewing up my monthly bandwidth downloading 
'updates' in the 'background'.

  I used to love using Windows....
