[SML] Wireless Table Lantern

Show calls for a kerosene-lantern-type table lamp
which is a practical,
 changes state (off, on, prob dimmable)  preferably from lighting board,
and gets picked up & carried (while lit).
Battery powered LED is relatively easy,
but what are my options for control ?
Wireless DM ?
