Other than possibly forcing some backward-compatibility via "cifs vers=1.0", would my suspicion that it might have been "sec=ntlm" finally making it work be entirely unreasonable? On the other hand, I haven't studied any CIFS stuff for years.. generally preferring local filesystems thankyouverymuch. _H*
