Truth!  Modern smokeless gunpowders in general are much more volatile
than old-fashioned black powder, and some formulas are far more
volatile and fast-burning than others.

Bullseye is one of the most sought-after powders for competition
reloading for Precision Pistol competition rounds (specifically for
the .45 caliber M1911 pistol) specifically because if it's super-high
rate of burn; it'll easily knock a tenth of a second off your pistol's
locktime and must be used in strict accordance with developed
reloading recipes to prevent overpressuring the gun's chamber and
barrel.

...If that's the sort of thing you're in to, of course.
