[SML] Slow moving motor

Okay, first of all, what's your budget... both time and money? The simplest
way is usually the best as, to paraphrase myself,  the fewer things there
are, the fewer things there are to go wrong. A motor is repeateable and
constant. a variable speed motor would be adjustable as well. However, a
good dolly grip using some suitably marked track and a dolly to which is
attached a rope can nail the timing (and adjust as needed) every time. I
assume the grips have all those toys already.
