[SML] 60Hz gear in a 50Hz World

And… by the way… what the heck is with Japan’s 100v, 50hz… are they just
trying to be difficult?

The sockets where I am now are standard UK ones at 240V, but the supply is
60Hz! The oil industry is rather strange when it comes to electricity.
