Which is exactly what I'm doing. There is zero tolerance inside the
cap (under the neoprene seal) for any sort of screw, nut, or rivet
nubbin. The way the original chain was attached, there was an aluminum
expanding "nail" jammed into the small hole in the cap, then ground
flush on the inside of the cap, and sealed with the neoprene seal.
