My brutha! <--- don't redact that!
Here's a link to an event insurance policy application that may be able to help the student get coverage for his event. https://www.kandkinsurance.com/sites/events/Pages/Short-Term-Special-Events.aspx
Although, the student may have to use a broker (like me!) if K&K won't work with him, directly. I've handled the Woodstock Film Festival's insurance for many years and I would never let a client/insured of mine, like WFF, allow an organization without common ownership/directorship, "borrow" its insurance policy through a rider of any sort. I would always recommend the unrelated organization get its own insurance and not put my client's insurance (and competitive rates) at risk over something they may not have any control over; especially if it leaves its premises.
The link above is for an event policy that may last up to 10 days. I realize a new production company may be low on funds, but if it is able to raise the money and get the right coverage, this issue won't come up each for each event through an annual policy....
Feel free to pass my work email and my cell number along to anyone that needs it. pcarr at hvinsuranceagency and 845.706.6295
Keep me posted...... Love ya! <--- don't redact that either!
