[SML] Noises Off Dilemma

 I concur that it is very unlike for the actors hearing their cues to be a problem.  Adding a directional mike, front-center along with a fairly small monitor speaker backstage, could help if needed.  To add to Michael Powers, who said the sound from the monitor should not be a problem, the actors can stand close to that speaker to make sure they hear it.
