They claim to be in the UV A range, which is the less damaging
wavelengths. You can find germicidal units that are in the UV B
sometimes, and that is believed to be rather more damaging to cellular
life forms like us.
If these are like the visible light units in build quality I worked
with last year, figure on about 5-10% early death rate. Some of which
are repairable if you are comfortable with soldering electronics.
