Dan,
Do you know if there is a big difference between 1st and 2nd editions of "The Lighting Art"?

Have a look at  "The Lighting Art"  by Richard Palmer.
Less about the instruments and lamps (which evolve quite rapidly),
more about the human brain and eye and what the audience perceives
(which never becomes obsolete)
(and I do have both the Pilbrow and the Jean Rosenthal (!) in my collection)
