Dear All,

I'm happy to report that, as of yesterday, I am retired from the
University of Louisville Theatre Arts department after some 28 years,
not much longer than I've been (quietly) following this group as well as
the usenet version way back when. What I have gained from this group
over the years is immeasurable as well as quite entertaining. At some
point I started requiring my stagecraft students to follow and report on
topics just so they could be exposed to what was happening in the
theatre world beyond the campus. Sample question from a few years ago:
who is this Frank Wood and why do people talk so much about him?

I bring this to your attention because there will be a job posting
and search for my replacement coming in the next month or so. This
program is moving in new directions with a young and energetic faculty
after retirements in the last 6 years (I am the last of the old farts)
and I am hopeful that the program will continue to grow and prosper.

I've met only a few members but I have felt that I know so many, like
regulars in the bar. Thanks for all the good technical information and
more so the great conversations.
