Hi all,
I haven't posted much on these forums recently, but I’m a consultant at
Arup on the venues team (merged with Artec a few years ago for those here
familiar with them) and wanted to reach out to everyone here to let you
know about some resources we've posted. We created a repository of
information for theatres and other venues looking to share performances
online, and assess the issues and risks related to re-opening post
COVID-19. This information can be found at:
http://arup-2.hs-sites.com/arts-culture-entertainment-and-arts-education
The current content, which we will be building on over the coming days,
includes:
Arts technology user guides
- How to optimize audio quality over video streaming services
- How to incorporate 3D audio for live streaming events
- The use of virtual reality to simulate the live performance experience
Arup Thinking: Return to venues
- An overview guide on information to consider for venue reopening
- MassMotion Videos - Examples of pedestrian flow modelling to understand
the spatial implications of new queuing arrangements at venues
Design, engineering and planning
- HVAC guidance on limiting the spread of infectious disease
We hope the above is of use.
