[SML] Angle Grinder Discs

I've never used the flap discs for grinding welds, but I now see those
are cheap and plentiful.  How do they compare to the more expensive 6mm
thick depressed center discs I've been using?

Just trying to decide on a grinder for the new 220V shop and seeing a
lack of discs that aren't flat cutting ones.  115mm?  125mm?

My old grinder is a B&D Professional 115mm and I got the discs in
packages of a dozen or so pretty cheaply.
