[SML] On the ground report

We arrived to our new house on Saturday evening, since then:

Had a problem with the Internet, the technician swapped out the 100Mbps
router for a 300Mbps one which now works.

Had our arrival VCR tests, I tested BetaMax (but no sign of THE VIRUS).

Met with the local migration magistrate and had our temporary residency
approved.  We have to leave for 1 day every 6 months.

Permanent residency ("green cards") waiting for documents from US Dept
of State, they said

The fridge and freezer were stocked full of food and drinks, water,
soda, beer, vodka, home made cha-cha...

NO MORE AIRPLANES!  Aren't even any in the sky around here, no nearby
airports.

Still setting up all the new computers, will post pictures on our web
site when I find them all and get them organized.

a note from our travels:  Airport security has to closely check cell
phones but couldn't care less about the 12 TB of encrypted hard disks in
our bags.  Didn't even have to take them out.
