Clean contacts on connectors?
Fans all ok?
Dust buildup on heatsinks?
Nest of space worms on the circuit board?

When I worked for big companies, I managed to get an expensive piece of
test gear transferred to my department for free because it would only
work around 10 minutes at a time.  I replaced the failing fan and the
completely clogged air filter and wonder of wonders, it worked perfectly
after that.
