One theatre's trash is another theatre's treasure. Unless you need the buckazoids, I'd suggest reaching out to the other theatres, community theatres, and drama groups in your area. Those Par 56's are certainly gonna be a lot better than the coffee can with a yard light they currently have. 

As for Upgrading a Par 64 to DMX. Price it around, but buying new fixtures is typically your best bet.  IIRC Altman used to make a retrofit LED  thingy that fit into a Par 64 body. Not sure if they still do. If they are ETC Pars {BLATANT COMMERCIALISM FOLLOWS} a Source Forward upgrade might be the best solution.
