Just as a point of reference. There is a guy in Michigan that sells Professional Film quality "Poseable Dummies" that are muslin covered with plastic heads. His 5ft bodies are about $100 - I think $125  for a 6ft one. We bought several over the years for clients in Atlanta and tried to keep one in the shop. One was destroyed by Charles Barkley on the set of NBA Today ........ but you probably won't have a 6'7" power forward flinging yours around. All of that is to say, mind your cost on what you build for yourself and if you find yourself approaching $100, there is an alternative.
