I recently used some spring wire to form branches for the Pill Berry Bush from Sussical. It gave the bush a lot of action, as it would wiggle about when berries were plucked from it. I obtained the wire from a pop-up play tent. I had both a small one, with flat wire that I could easily bend by hand to a 2" radius. For putting a small 1/4 diameter loop at the end to help prevent it from poking through the foam, I used a torch and pliers. But, the heavier gauge one, was round with a diameter just under 1/8". It was quite challenging to bend by hand. The smallest radius I could bend by hand was over 20". And it is over such a large area, that I didn't even attempt to use a torch. Plus a torch would have changed the temper, so it would no longer be spring wire.
I've used pipe benders, and wonder if there is perhaps a tool to bend wire like this. Any recommendations?
