+1 on Jon’s comment.
Having a deep blue LED means that you CAN produce deep blues, but you MAY choose to mix a lighter blue.

I find that to be the result of people not dialing in a serviceable blue hue, but relying on the B=100 "not found in nature" look. Most RGB+ fixtures can be tamed without going full-tilt on the blue.... I too can't stand that.  Make my eyes go buggy, and cameras *hate* it.

I can see sometimes wanting that, but I wonder if there are LED pars that DON"T have that almost-UV blue? Fixtures that look more like a traditional, blue-gelled, tungsten fixture.
