I don't have any firsthand experience with their systems but it's the front runner for a system replacement for a set of motors installed in the early 80's that is failing.
I installed/used one of the Vortek systems right before it was sold.
We were able to make it work but I was never happy with the control software.
I don't know if the system has gotten any better or not.

Subject: [SML] Automated Rigging Control Systems
Hello,
We run ETC/Vortek hoists with Foundation Controls in our largest theatre.
The control system is generally dependable for set-up and strike use. Automated Fly Cues are another matter - we cannot rely on the control system for use with a sit-down touring show over weeks.
We’re at the point that full controls replacement is being considered at multiples of $100K. Before heading down this road, we’re looking for success stories.
Specifically, does anyone know of a large road house that uses automated Fly Cues with an in-house system? This is a different scenario from a tour travelling with a controls system and automation equipment.
We are looking for something that allows us to use our house hoists, cued with our house control system, with a travelling show is set-up in a few days.
Thanks in advance,
Bruce
