[SML] Another stair to stage question

Another code change question unrelated to accessibility.

Right now, the most commonly used building code, the IBC, requires
handrails on both sides of the stair between auditorium floor and stage.
(Actually most stairs, but that's irrelevant.) The NFPA Life Safety Code
does not, just one side, a change I got passed some years ago.)

I'm guessing, based on observations and a whole lot of theatre tours and
looking at plans and pictures, many do not comply with the building code,
even new ones.

If you have these stairs, do they have handrails, and if so, one side or
both?

Thank you.
