In our Bing theater (circa 1975) our only theater with a permanent raised stage, there is enough space for a small step unit up to the stage at the ends of the center house aisles. We have a couple of nice shop made stairs, that don't have railings, that are in place for almost every event with a lectern and removed for about 75 percent of theatrical productions.
ADA access from the house to the stage is via doorways from the FOH exit voms to short hallways leading backstage on SR and SL. Once in the house wheelchair users are restricted to the FOH ADA seating areas by stairs and other barriers.
