At a minimum, .2" of clear width per occupant. So let's say you have 36"
doors, which are around 34" clear when open 90 degrees - that's 170 people.
There is no guarantee that an authority will allow any doors to be
blocked. Designing flexible theatres it's hard to get that sign off. But
maybe try to provide 150 to 200% of the minimum and see if you can get that
approved.
Also up to 500 occupants - minimum 2 separate ways out. 500-1000 - 3.
Over 1000 - 4.
There's also travel distance and common path of egress travel but
probably not a concern.
