The last time I used LED tape I got it from eBay (in the UK), I would
have used Aliexpress if it wasn't a rush job. You can see the results

The battery was a 3 cell LIPO intended for use with electric model
planes, which was capable of delivering far more current than I
needed.

I used some wireless DMX stuff so that it could be controlled from the
LX desk, which wasn't strictly necessary but was very nice.
