We will be there with a small team of our engineers and sales people. We are debuting our new product which just won new product of the year at LDI, late last year. We haven’t exhibited in a while, so we’re pretty excited.

It looks like I will be returning for the first time in a long time. Negotiating school schedules to accommodate my need for professional development is not easy. I am really excited to be returning. It has been around 10 years since my last one.

Also, USITT has a “FIRST TIME ATTENDEE ORIENTATION” at 11am on Wednesday, in the Union Station Ballroom.

Abbey - the bags Richard was talking about are at Syracuse Scenic and are made from scraps of curtains. Ask if they might have an apron, they don’t usually have those sitting out as they only make a few. Those aprons are fabulous if you are working as a dresser because they have DEEP pockets!

ALSO don’t let age or a “big name” intimidate you. We’re all tech lovers there and you’ll find you have a lot in common with everyone you meet, even if they did write your text book or design your favorite show. Bring business cards with a non-school but still professional email address - you can print your own on stationery from the local office supply store or get some from one of the online printers. If you are job hunting, bring resumes. Wear comfy shoes, bring a refillable water bottle and some snacks as there’s no defined time for meals. And leave space in your luggage to take home swag.
